A pocket-sized mirror shaped by hand and use.
Material: Brass, Copper, Stainless steel

Purpose
This piece designs through process-based iteration, using material properties to guide form and function. Working directly with brass and mechanical constraints, the final form emerged through making, testing, and refinement rather than preconceived aesthetics.

Exploded View and Assembly
This exploded view illustrates a layered construction driven by material constraints. Brass and copper are soft-soldered, with rivets running through the entire assembly to unify the components. The mirror is locked in place by the copper connection and the stainless steel structure, as brazing stainless to copper would have introduced heat sufficient to shatter the mirror. This design choice resulted in a material layered connection that helps connect the mechanical constraints to the final form.
